How Limpsfield-dot- Net came into being

In July 2000, we had a Millennium Street Party in Bluehouse Lane. My wife and I met neighbours whom we had never seen before - and haven’t seen since except through a car window. This seemed such a pity because Limpsfield is a community where the residents have a lot of interests in common. In order to encourage communication and understanding I posted photographs of the party on my web-site. I then opened a Guestbook where people could post their comments. Having discovered that there was some response, I decided to extend this to a Limpsfield site.

I named it Limpsfield-dot-Net.

In these pages you will find information about the village, the Memorial Stores, people, places and things. There are links to Bluehouse Lane and to the Hurst Green Autumn Fair. The Oxted One World Group joined the site with information about fund raising, events and even linking to beneficiaries overseas (let me know). The Oxted & Limpsfield Choral Society always welcomes new singers. One of my main interest is to support the Memorial Stores. Use it or lose it. Fairtrade in Oxted is a recent addition and the on-line form has already produced new members.

This is not an official site. It is created with personal time and money so I won’t make promises!.
